Village of Elmwood Planning Commission Meeting Minutes 11-14-2019
The newly appointed Planning Commission members met on 11/14/2019 at the Elmwood Village Hall.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Member Mike Winter stated that a current copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act was posted for public viewing.
Roll Call was answered by John Nunez, Linda Blunt and Mike Winter. Darren Petersen absent.
Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by posting in three (3) public places including the Post Office, the Village Office, and the Elmwood Convenience Store.
Minutes were taken by Mike Winter.
Motion by Blunt to nominate Winter for position of Secretary, second by Nunez. RCV: (YES – Blunt, Nunez), (NO: None), (Abstain: Winter). Motion approved 2-0.
Motion by Winter to nominate Nunez for position of Chairperson second by Blunt. RCV: (YES – Blunt, Winter), (NO: None), (Abstain: Nunez). Motion approved 2-0.
Chairperson Nunez open floor to Jeffrey B. Ray, AICP Planning Department Manager – JEO Consulting Group. Ray provided handouts for members and extras for Village Office. The handout described the zoning and planning terminology, responsibilities and process.
Ray also discussed current status of proposed updates to Elmwood’s Zoning Ordinance which are pending review and approval and each member was provided a copy of the proposed revisions.
A meeting was set for December 15th at 4:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Village Hall to begin the review and approval process and any other items that are added to the agenda prior to the meeting.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:38 p.m.
