Celebrate Easter 2021
Easter Egg hunts at Home - Egg my Yard
We will be accepting online orders through Friday, March 26th.
All eggs will be delivered on Saturday, April 3rd at dusk/dark so that your children or grandchildren will have a fun Easter Egg Hunt all set up for them when they arrive on Easter Sunday.

You are invited to a drive-through Easter event at the 3B Homestead in Murdock, Nebraska.
It is family-friendly and Covid-safe.

Our hope is to start a community conversation about books. Also, by telling the library what’s popular in Elmwood and Murdock, we can better anticipate your needs and wants for our inventory! Prizes include a $5 in EMMA bucks (good at several Elmwood-Murdock businesses) and a sweet treat to sustain you while you read your next book!
There will be one prize for awarded for an adult and one for a kid EACH MONTH during this promotion! Your chances of winning depend upon how many entries we get each month.

A new exhibit debuts at the Bess Streeter Aldrich House, 204 East F Street, Elmwood
Every weekend through Sunday, April 25, 1 to 4 p.m.
Come to the beautiful 1922 Prairie Mansion home of Nebraska Hall of Fame Author Bess Streeter Aldrich to see a wide variety of transportation collectibles shared by their owners.
Collectibles from the Route 66 collection of Linda & Ken Glantz, Murdock, will be showcased in the living room while other contributors share model cars, train collectibles, oil/gas items, pedal cars, model airplanes, horse tack, and other transportation-related items.
Besides seeing these artifacts, guests are invited to take a personal tour of the home and learn more about Mrs. Aldrich, her literary contributions, and her years in Elmwood.

Board meetings are open to the public and held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
The meetings are held at the new Village Board office located at the Learning Center on the south side of town.
Official agendas are posted the day before at the Post Office, Gas Station, and Village Office. Prior to the posting of the agenda, meeting items can be added to the meeting. At the end of each meeting is a Public Comment Section. Attendees have three minutes to speak about anything at this time. Further discussion on the topic can then be added to the next board meeting.

The free pantry is here to serve our community. It is for neighbors helping neighbors. Take what you need or leave what you can.

There is a new location for the Cass County Food Bank.
The Food Bank has moved to the previous Village Office location.
They have a new space at the previous Village Board building!
Parking is improved and there is now more space and room for freezers, food storage, and a permanent distribution site. Please let people know about the new location who could use this service.

Demolition of the old railroad bridge on Highway 1 in Murray started March 1st. One lane traffic is being electronically controlled, so please be patient at the lights when waiting, then driving through. Work is expected to continue through the summer months, so plan your travel accordingly. Be careful, watch for workers and machinery and make safety the priority.
