Board of Trustees Regular Meeting

July 15, 2015

 

The Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees met in Regular Session with Trustees Allgayer, Krass, Anderson, Wray, and Chairperson Wilhelm presiding. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Chairperson Wilhelm declared the “Open Meeting Act” posted. All signed the “Notice of Acknowledgement of Meeting”. Visitors present were Eugenia Bornemeier, Taylor Fleischman, Rian Harkins, and Steve Bogatz. Connie Carlton was also present.

 

Motion by Allgayer to approve the minutes of the July 1, 2015 Regular Board Meeting as presented; second by Anderson. Vote: Yes: All, No: None. Motion approved.

 

REPORTS OF BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEES: Street: Patched holes. Park: It was decided to install the Golf Disc course at the Murdock School site w/Steve Bogatz’ help. Library: June Librarian’s Report and June Minutes. Water: Incoming 2,442,000 gallons, outgoing 2,220,000 gallons, wasted 222,000 gallons. June 2015 Utility Billing Report presented. Draw down testing within normal limits. Sewer: No Report. Planning: June Minutes presented.

 

Unfinished Business: Nuisance Property Update: SENDD has identified 12 properties in the first quadrant that will receive letters regarding nuisances on their properties. Pictures were taken from public right-of-ways, alleys, and sidewalks this week. Next update will be August 19th.

 

New Business: Fence permit: Motion by Wray to approve the fence permit for 204 South 4th Street; second by Anderson. Vote: Yes: All, No: None. Motion approved. The Village of Elmwood 2015-2016 budget will be discussed at the August 5th board meeting.

Motion by Wray to approve the claims as presented for payment; second by Anderson. RCV: Yes: All, No: None. Motion approved.

 

Executive Session: Motion by Wray to enter Executive Session for the purpose of discussing Employee Annual Evaluation at 8:36 p.m.; second by Allgayer. Motion by Allgayer to exit Executive Session at 8:57 p.m.

 

Personnel: Motion by Wray to approve a 3.25% hourly pay rate increase from $17.25/hr to $17.81/hr for the Village Clerk position based on employee annual evaluation; second by Allgayer. RCV: Yes: All, No: None. Motion approved.
